The Wesley Nest

A Respite and Support Center for Permanency Families that offers care, creativity, and connection — supporting children as they thrive and caregivers as they renew their energy.

  • 221 Penn Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221
Program Overview

At The Wesley Nest, we provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children from adoptive or legal custodianship families can thrive while their caregivers take a well-deserved break.

We understand that parenting children with unique histories can be both deeply rewarding and demanding. The Wesley Nest is designed to give families the support they need — offering supervised respite sessions that help children build social skills, express creativity, and have fun in a structured, nurturing space.

What We Offer

The Wesley Nest is an approved Post-Permanency respite center serving families across Pennsylvania. Our trained and compassionate staff ensure that every child is engaged, supported, and safe throughout their visit.

While parents enjoy time to relax, recharge, or run errands, children participate in thoughtfully planned activities that encourage creativity, collaboration, and connection.

Activities include:

  • Arts & Crafts: Monthly themed projects that spark imagination and creativity. From painting to hands-on craft making, each session offers something new to discover.

  • Socialization: Structured opportunities to build friendships, practice teamwork, and strengthen interpersonal skills.

  • Themed Sessions: Each month follows a unique theme to keep experiences fresh, meaningful, and fun!
